The concept of our driving days

Come and drive your car on the legendary Charade circuit. You will drive on this undulating 4km long track with 18 corners, only a 10 minute drive from Clermont Ferrand. Alone or with other drivers, discover the sensations behind the wheel on this magnificent circuit near Clermont Ferrand during one of the convivial days organised by Nomad Driving Event (with an open pit lane) with no specific vehicle categories.

We have been organising these Trackdays for several years now. Every year we organize about 50 Trackdays on some of the most beautiful circuits in France: Charade, Magny-Cours, Le Mans, Le Castellet, Dijon-Prenois, Nogaro,Val de Vienne, Le Mas du Clos, etc…

Safety and quality of driving are our main priorities:

  • We attach particular attention to the compliance of the safety regulations on the track. Drivers who are responsible for dangerous driving will be cautioned and if necessary banned from driving on the circuit.
  • We limit the number of drivers on the track in order to provide optimum driving conditions.
  • We limit the number of enrolments in order to maximize driving time with an open pit lane.

The legendary the Charade circuit

Located at Saint-Genès-Champanelle, the Charade circuit was inaugurated on 27th July 1958. Since then, it grew to fame by hosting different international races over the years, such as the Grand Prix of France. Originally there were 52 corners!  Be assured that today the layout of the circuit has been modified but not necessarily simplified! The most recent modifications were made in 2000-2001. The Charade circuit now has a total of 18 corners.

During your driving day you will retrace the steps of some of the most famous international car races. In its first year there were Formula 2 races and the 3-hour International of Auvergne. The following year saw the arrival of motorcycle racing at the Issoire Circuit located nearby, followed by the GP of France, F1, F2, F3 …(at Charade)

As well as being popular for being a technical track , the Charade circuit is also appreciated for its setting. You will enjoy a day’s driving on a circuit situated in a 200- acre wooded site in the heart of the Chaîne des Puys.

New for electric vehicles: Rapid charging stations (50kWh) are at the drivers’ disposal if available.
