Trackdays – Driving on the Issoire circuit

Trackdays limited to 40 enrolments for 18 cars on the track at any one time (open pit lane).

The concept of our Trackdays

Come and drive your car on the Issoire circuit, a beautiful and fast 2.5km long track ideal for testing a new driving style, with no specific vehicle categories, during one of the friendly Trackdays organized by Nomad Driving Event. The track day is organized without specific vehicle categories which means that access to the track at Issoire is unlimited during the driving times, 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-17:30 (with a maximum of 18 cars on the track at any one time).

We have been organising these Trackdays for several years now. Every year we organize about 50 Trackdays on some of the most beautiful circuits in France: Charade, Magny-Cours, Le Mans, Le Castellet, Dijon-Prenois, Nogaro, Val de Vienne, Le Mas du Clos, etc…

Safety and quality of driving are our main priorities:

We attach particular attention to the compliance of the safety regulations on the track. Drivers who are responsible for dangerous driving will be cautioned and if necessary banned from driving on the circuit.
We limit the number of drivers on the track in order to provide optimum driving conditions.
We limit the number of enrolments in order to maximize driving time with an open pit lane.
We accept with pleasure racing teams who will be able to integrate respectfully into our days

The CERTA – Issoire circuit

The Issoire circuit has an asphalt track which is 2.5km long and 9m wide. It offers a succession of fast corners, all very different from each other. Its long straight line also allows for some fun fast driving. The asphalt surface offers a certain driving comfort.

Alone or with other drivers, this driving session in Issoire will remain a lasting memory. Located in Issoire, the circuit is only 20 minutes from Clermont Ferrand!

Programme for your Trackday at Issoire

08:00 : Welcome for the participants (or 13:15 for the afternoon session) .
08:30 : Technical and safety briefing (or 13:30 for the afternoon session). Briefing is mandatory : in case of late arrival participants must attend a 2nd briefing session once driving has begun.
09:00-12:00 : Driving (no specific vehicle categories)
12:00 -14:00 : Lunch break (meal not included-food truck present on certain dates)
14:00-17:30 : Driving (no specific vehicle categories) (14:00-17:00 for dates during winter hours)

Conditions required to participate in the Trackdays

Authorised vehicles : All types of sports vehicles in good working condition except open-wheel vehicles. All vehicles must have an on track civil liability insurance, must respect the noise limit imposed by the circuit (95db on the Issoire circuit) and must be equipped with a tow hook.
Obligatory Equipment : Helmet with at least the CE norm, long-sleeved tops and trousers (for men and women)and full equipment for competition vehicles (see list in the Regulations)
Participation Conditions : Valid car driving licence (equivalent to a licence B in France) for all drivers, passengers must be a minimum of 16 years old
Documents to be provided on the Trackday : A copy of the Trackday Regulations completed and signed and dated the day of the Tackday (1 copy/driver)

Access to the track for 1 driver per vehicle ( supplement for additional drivers)

Rental of sports cars

Different sports cars with driving instructors are available on request for a half-day or a whole day during the Trackdays at the Issoire circuit:

Prices include VAT, but exclude transport costs to the circuit. Included in the cost: track access, fuel, briefing, coaching with a driving instructor and exclusive use of the car for 150 km (½ day) and 300 km (whole day). Deposit 25000€

Access to and accommodation at the Issoire circuit

The Issoire circuit is located 37km from Clermont Ferrand, and can be accessed via the A75 motorway. It is also possible to go by train to Clermont Ferrand and Issoire, and by plane to Clermont Ferrand.

There are several possibilities for accommodation near the circuit such as the hotel Le Pariou, Le Manoir D’Alice, and guest houses such as Le Trianon d’Yss, etc.

On-board coaching with a driving instructor including a theoretical part (carried out in 30-minutes sessions spread out over your driving time).

If you have completed less than 3 outings on a circuit, FFSA regulations strongly recommend that you reserve a coaching session with a driving instructor for that day (option to choose above)

Participation conditions for the trackday * :

I (the undersigned hereby declared as owner of the vehicle) certify that the vehicle being used is in good working condition, is apt for being driven on a track and is insured for on track civil liability ( on track civil liability insurance must cover all drivers).

I/We (the undersigned driver(s)) hereby certify to be in possession of a valid car driving licence (equivalent of B licence in France) and have read and accepted the regulations applicable at present. I/We certify the exactitude of the information provided and promise to notify the organizers Nomad Driving Event of any changes between the enrolment date and the date of the trackday.
